All-Digital HotLINKS Brings New Perspective to Masters 2014

(Hilton Head, S.C.) - For the true golf fan, there is no more exciting event each year than the Masters. And this year, there is no more compelling publication devoted to the tournament’s 78th installment than “HotLINKS—Masters 2014,” produced by the editors of LINKS Magazine.

The third in a series of special, all-digital editions from LINKS Magazine, HotLINKS goes behind the scenes and inside the gates of Augusta National to help fans enjoy every minute of the tournament, being held April 10-13.

From the building of Augusta National Golf Club and a timeline of other notable events of 1934 (the year of the first Masters) to the players in contention today, HotLINKS takes a new look at the spectacle of golf’s annual rite of spring.

Where else can you read why six modern-day course designers love Augusta National and how it has influenced their own work? In “Architects of Augusta,” Tom Doak, Ben Crenshaw, Rees Jones, Steve Smyers, Gil Hanse, and Robert Trent Jones II tell what makes the Jones/MacKenzie creation special and which of its characteristics they have adopted in their designs.

“HotLINKS—Masters 2014” is the first of five tournament previews scheduled for this year, with future editions planned for the other three major championships and the Ryder Cup, all fully digital and available for a choice of applications and platforms.

Each issue of HotLINKS may be viewed and enjoyed on any screen—computer, tablet, or smartphone—with apps for each platform designed to highlight the unmistakable beauty of Augusta National. With big photographs, bold graphics, and links to embedded videos and slideshows, reading HotLINKS is almost like being there.

HotLINKS is produced by Purcell Enterprises, which owns LINKS Magazine, linksmagazine.com and proprietary apps for iPad, Android, and Kindle Fire platforms, as well as a website dedicated to golf real estate.

LINKS Magazine was founded in 1988 with the mission of speaking to an audience of devoted golfers who share a passion for the best the game has to offer. It specializes in the most in-depth and reader-relatable information on courses, clubs, and communities throughout the United States, United Kingdom, and golf’s emerging destinations around the world.
