Prince Course Enjoys Success with ‘Mini Prince’; Kaua‘i Lagoons Unveils Premium Wine Package

New Par-3 ‘Mini Prince’ Course Enjoys Success Among Families

The Prince Course at Princeville Golf Club recently opened a par-3 “Mini Prince,” particularly suited for families.  The new six-hole course is easy to walk and set on the 13-acre practice facility.  Designed for all skill levels with larger putting cups making it easier for novices, the “Mini Prince” opens at 4 p.m. daily.

“We have seen an increase in play each month since opening in April and these are likely guests that would not have visited our facility otherwise,” said Prince Course General Manager T.J. Baggett.  “The Mini Prince is the perfect family activity as kids play free and it takes 30 minutes or less to play six holes.”

The cost is $15 for adults and complimentary if golfers played the Prince Course on the same day. Juniors ages 8-17 play for free if accompanied by a paying adult. Juniors age 12-17 unaccompanied play for $5. For tee times call 808.826.5001.

Kaua‘i Lagoons Unveils Premium Ocean Nine Package

The Premium Ocean Nine and Wine package at Kaua‘i Lagoons Golf Club allows couples the opportunity to enjoy the Kiele Moana Ocean holes as a twosome with a bottle of wine and cheese.  The fee is $89 per player after 3:30 p.m. HST daily (if one player does not want to play, they can ride and enjoy the wine for $25).

The Jack Nicklaus Signature Kaua‘i Lagoons features the longest continuous stretch of ocean golf holes in Hawaii and was recently named one of the “World’s Most Beautiful Golf Courses” by MSN Travel. For more information call 800.634.6400.

Puakea Golf Course Introduces Fit Club for Walkers

For $50 a month, Fit Club members at Puakea Golf Course enjoy unlimited daily walking golf after 3:30 p.m. HST.  This monthly fitness golf program is a great way to exercise and improve golf skills.  Rate is subject to change and Hawaii State Tax.  The special is based on space available.

Princeville Makai Golf Club Hosting Warrior Makai Collegiate Tournament

Seventeen of the top Div. 1 programs in the country will compete in the second annual Warrior Makai Collegiate Golf Tournament at Princeville Makai Golf Club, Nov. 4-6. Included in the field will be defending champion Baylor University, nationally ranked Mississippi State, Pac-12 power Arizona State and the University of Hawaii Warriors, the host team.

Playing at 7,200 yards, the course proved to be a stiff challenge last year with an average individual   score of 74. Individual winner Albin Choi, an All American from North Carolina State, was the lone player to post three, sub-70 rounds.

The St. Regis Princeville Resort is the presenting sponsor of the event, with support from First Hawaiian Bank, North Shore General Story, Hawaii Hardwoods Trophies, Hanalei Surf Company and Wyndham Resorts.
