The First Tee Establishes an Orange County, CA. Chapter
(ANAHEIM, Calif.) - The First Tee of Orange County, CA. announced that its chapter has been formally approved by The First Tee. This significant sanction allows the First Tee of Orange County, CA. to establish its programs which will impact the young people within the community.
Through after school and in school programs, The First Tee of Orange County, CA, will help shape the lives of young people by reinforcing the values established by the association. According to The First Tee of Orange County, CA. Board President Tim Casey, "The First Tee impacts kids, teens and the community through providing educational programs that build character, support good choices, and instill values through the game of golf. Now, these positive educational curriculums are available for the youth of Orange County, CA."
The First Tee of Orange County, CA. will be guided by Teal Guion who as Program Director was instrumental in the launch of The First Tee of Coachella Valley, CA. She and a team of coaches will manage the program at the Islands Golf Center located at 14893 E. Ball Road, in the city of Anaheim, CA. The newly established chapter will begin providing after school programs during the next school semester. "This is an ideal location as it has several holes adjacent to the driving range which are perfect for the kids to play," added Casey.
