Longaberger Golf Club Opens Registration for Spring Instruction Programs
(NASHPORT, Ohio) – Longaberger Golf Club, managed by Billy Casper Golf (BCG), has released a series of affordable golf classes open to the public, starting May 7.
The four programs – Get Golf Ready, Golf Fore Women™, junior clinics and the Instant Golfer – provide basic instruction and equipment for beginners who wish to start playing golf this year.
“We take the intimidation factor out of learning to play golf,” says General Manager Danny Ackerman. “Within five lessons, a beginner can advance from the driving range to the golf course. It’s a fun way to stay active, network, and enjoy time outdoors at any age.”
Registration is now open at longabergergolfclub.com for the following:
Get Golf Ready ($99):
Developed through Play Golf America and endorsed by the USGA, PGA and LPGA, these five-lesson sessions teach basic techniques, from chipping and putting to full swing and bunker play. Fundamentals covered include maintaining golf clubs, keeping score and navigating the course.
This program is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays in May (starting May 7), June (starting June 4), July (starting July 9) and August (starting August 6).
Golf Fore Women ($99)
These women-only, five-lesson series take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays, beginning on May 15, July 10 and August 21. Working women who wish to use golf as a business tool can enjoy this shorter, weekly time commitment through a trademarked program designed by Billy Casper Golf.
Junior Golf Clinics (Free)
Children ages six through 13 can participate in either of two 90-minute clinics at the Longaberger practice facility, scheduled for June 15 and August 17. Registration is required for the 10:30 am – noon demonstrations.
Instant Golfer ($249)
Adult beginners receive a complete set of Top-Flite golf clubs (woods, irons and putter); a $100 gift card towards purchase of golf shoes, gloves, golf balls and other supplies; plus a five-bucket driving range pass and discounts on twilight golf through the season. The considerable savings provides more than $500 in total value.
All events take place at the extensive practice facility at Longaberger Golf Club, which includes a driving range, putting green and chipping/short game area. Golfers in Get Golf Ready and Golf Fore Women will also have a chance to play the club’s course during lesson time.
Comfortable clothing and tennis or golf shoes are recommended for all classes. No other equipment is needed to participate.
Ranked the No. 1 public golf course in Ohio since its 1999 opening, Longaberger Golf Club has been touted as a “Best Value,” with green fees under $99. The Arthur-Hills design is located less than one-hour’s drive from Columbus.
