Linda Hartough to Exhibit Golf Art in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

(HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.) – Linda Hartough, world-renowned golf-landscape artist (www.hartough.com), will have a selection of her work displayed in the exhibit, Fore! Images of Golf in Art, April 28 through Sept. 15, at the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum, in Myrtle Beach, S.C. This extraordinary exhibition, in a locale with more than 100 golf courses, is designed to appeal to a wide spectrum of visitors – residents and travelers, avid golfers and art lovers. Included will be approximately 40 works in various media, including watercolor, oil and sculpture. Many well-known artists will be represented.

“It is wonderful that so many people who appreciate art and golf will have the opportunity to see this special exhibition,” Hartough said. “The chance to see golf art displayed in such an intensely golf-loving region will be something people will enjoy and remember.”

Hartough’s painting style, a classic and elegant rendering of famous golf holes, reveals her attention to detail and realistic perspective, and captures the dramatic mood and natural beauty of each landscape.

• The 17th Hole, Royal St. George’s Golf Club; 1993; oil on linen; 35” x 53”
• The 12th Hole, Augusta National Golf Club; 2002; watercolor; 13” x 15”
