Billy Casper Golf Raises More Than $40,000 for Wounded Warrior Project During Record-Setting 'World's Largest Golf Outing'

(VIENNA, VA) - Billy Casper Golf - the second largest owner and operator golf courses, country clubs and resorts in the U.S. - hosted approximately 2,200 golfers at 80 properties in 24 states during the "World's Largest Golf Outing" to benefit Wounded Warrior Project on Aug. 18.

WWP will receive a $43,700 donation as a result of BCG eclipsing the previous golf-outing participation record by nearly 70 percent, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

Sixty wounded warriors from coast to coast took part in the inaugural event, showcasing the importance of the non-profit organization raising awareness about and tending to the needs of injured servicemen and women.

BCG conceived and produced the first-ever World's Largest Golf Outing, and is excited about its future as an annual event.

"The generosity of golfers playing this event is humbling," says Peter Hill, Chairman and CEO of BCG. "Contributing needed money to Wounded Warrior Project further elevates its effective humanitarian work."

"Our warriors were awed by the response from golfers," says Adam Silva, Chief Development Officer, Wounded Warrior Project. "We salute the innovated ways and generosity of Billy Casper Golf and look forward to future editions of the World's Largest Golf Outing."
