Paula Creamer sees into the future with Sundog Eyewear

Sundog Eyewear is delighted to announce that 2010 US Open Champion Paula Creamer has decided to renew her relationship with Sundog and the popular Sundog Eyewear Paula Creamer Collection.

“I really enjoy working with Sundog on the design of my Collection,” said Creamer, whose 2011 Collection is her fifth with Sundog Eyewear. “I love the styles, and the Mela-Lens technology has become a requirement on and off the course. I’m thrilled that the Paula Creamer signature styles will continue.”

Since the debut of her first Collection in 2007, the nine-time winner on the LPGA Tour has been instrumental in designing 12 fashionable models, including three new ones for 2011. Freestyle and Bravo feature classic aviator styles redefined by Paula’s personal touch and flair. The new Aura model introduces a dramatic one-piece suspended lens in a sophisticated open frame design.

“We feel very fortunate to have this terrific relationship with one of the truly genuine superstars in the world of sport,” said Rod Hoogstraten, President of Sundog Eyewear. “From day one it has been a pleasure to work with Paula, and she and her family are a very important members of the Sundog family.”

As she defends her Open title this week at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Paula will be wearing her Mela-Lens  Paula Creamer Collection sunglasses. “Mela” is an abbreviation for Melanin, a naturally produced pigment that acts as a sunscreen protecting the skin from High Energy Visible light or “blue” light. In partnership with BNL Sun Lenses, an Essilor company, Sundog Eyewear has created the Sundog Mela-Lens lines utilizing synthetic melanin to produce state-of-the-art melanin lens technology. Mela-Lens absorbs light seamlessly over a broad spectral range providing 98 per cent blue light filtration with no color distortion, and 100 per cent UVA/B protection. Mela-Lens features the Eternity Hard Coat for superior abrasion resistance.

In addition to Freestyle, Bravo, and Aura Paula’s 2011 PC Collection also offers Paula’s three most popular styles including: a refined fitting Allure (the model Paula wore winning the 2010 U.S. Open Championship); the stylish Iconic with laser etched temple artistry; and Captiva, uniquely designed sunglasses for smaller face shapes.

The Paula Creamer Collection is just part of the excitement surrounding Sundog Eyewear. The 2011 line includes Hunter Mahan’s Signature H Series and all new H EVO models; Mike Weir’s Weir Golf Signature Series; Mela-Lens Polarized and Mela-Lens Photochromic models; and the complete Core Golf line.
