Longaberger Golf Club Extends Season with Value-Laden Stay-and-Play Packages
(NASHPORT, Ohio) – Longaberger Golf Club – recognized by Golf Digest, GolfWorld, Golfweek and GOLF magazine as one of the best courses in the country – today announces value-laden stay-and-play packages throughout the remainder of the 2009 season.
The award-winning Arthur Hills design in golf-rich central Ohio partners with The Longaberger Company’s The Place Off the Square to provide championship golf and welcoming accommodations. Each stay-and-play golf package also includes a continental breakfast at the hotel and two rounds of golf, per person, at Longaberger Golf Club.
“The dazzling fall foliage makes late-season golf at Longaberger Golf Club an experience that tests the mind and body,” says Joseph Livingood, senior vice president of Billy Casper Golf, which manages Longaberger Golf Club. “Having The Place Off the Square nearby is a win-win for golfers – unbeatable golf and a comfortable place to unwind following a great day on the course.”

• Nov. 1 through Dec. 31, 2009

All rates include 18 holes and a cart and assume two golfers, double occupancy. Single occupancy and non-golfer rates are also available.
In its 10th-anniversary season, Longaberger Golf Club ranks No. 57 in the United States (out of roughly 13,500 public access courses) in GOLF magazine’s “Top 100 Courses You Can Play” list and Golf Digest included it in its rankings of ”America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses.” Longaberger Golf Club came in as the No. 4 course overall in “Top 50 Public Courses” GolfWorld Readers’ Choice Rankings and Golfweek magazine’s “America’s Best Courses You Can Play 2009” rankings had it as Ohio’s No. 1 course.
Among the most dramatic holes on Longaberger’s 7,243-yard parkland-style layout is the par-5, No. 4 that plays 565 yards from the back tees with a 150-foot elevation drop from tee to green. The course is defined by panoramic natural beauty, rolling hills and immaculate playing conditions. A 25-acre natural grass driving range and practice facility, with target greens and a chipping, pitching and bunker area, ensures golfers of any skill level can hone their games in a secluded, finely-appointed setting.
Longaberger’s stately 60,000-square-foot clubhouse features elegant banquet facilities, a dining room, grill room and pro shop. The club is a favorite among wedding and social event planners, as well as golf outing and tournament coordinators throughout Ohio.
