(RELEASE) - Two-time defending champion Mark Mulder totaled 73 points, securing his place as number one for the third year running. Mulder, a two-time All-Star with the Oakland A’s who won a World Series title with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2006, shot a 3-under-par 69 for the second straight day Sunday to score 25 points. Mulder admitted that he felt more nervous this year than last year because of trying to win three straight and because of his children.
“My three kids think this is the tournament where they get to run on the green,” Mulder said, referring to the post-victory celebration. “And it’s really cool that I was able to back that up. I didn’t want to disappoint them.”
The tournament drew 55,801 fans for the week, nearly 20 percent more than the previous record (47,109) set last year. The tournament, which for years had lesser-known name champions such as Rhoden (an eight-time winner) and Quinn (five titles), is in recent years enjoying star-studded leaderboards. Other big names included Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (eighth, 53 points), former Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway (tie for ninth, 62) and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo (tied for 16th, 47).
Father of NBA star Steph Curry, Dell, ended up in cold Lake Tahoe after losing a bet to his son on Sunday afternoon. The Curry Battle Father/Son competition began this week when they made a bet that the loser of the two had to jump in Lake Tahoe, full golf gear and everything. Steph, who totaled 60 points at the end of the tournament finished in fourth place, beating his dad who totaled 23 points. When asked about the bet that may take place next year at the American Century Championship, Steph said “Next year we're going to spot him a handicap. We'll spot him some points and same bet next year.”
Former NBA star Charles Barkley finished alone in last place with minus-91 points

I decided to get into tennis not so long ago, and it's pretty interesting to read about events that have shaped this field. I even think of placing bets, but finding a good platform for that is a challenge.
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't think that finding a reliable platform to place sports bets is that hard, especially since solutions like Sportsbook Software are getting quite popular. Nowadays, many platforms turn to top-tier solutions from Digitain, so you just need to do your research and find something suitable to add the thrill to any sports match.
